Biography 

Natalia believes that collaboration with artists from all mediums is the key to creating strong performance art. As a versatile artist, Natalia has premiered several works, including “TAKEABITE: the opera” by David Antonio Cruz, (El Museo in New York City), “Korean Duets Op. 44” by Ross Thompson (Seoul, South Korea), and “Antologia” (San Francisco, CA) by Carle Costa.   

Natalia has played flute and piccolo in numerous ensembles, including the Hudson Valley Symphonic Wind Ensemble, the Contra Costa Chamber Orchestra, American Youth Symphony, DREAM Orchestra, and the orchestra at Radio City Hall with the internationally acclaimed pop-opera trio “Il Volo” on their North American tour. She also played in the festival orchestra at the Pacific Region International Music Festival in British Columbia, Canada.

An avid chamber musician, Natalia was a semifinalist for the National Fischoff Competition and a finalist in the New England Chamber music competition. She currently plays in the flute and guitar ensemble, Blue Heron Duo, which recently premiered works at the San Francisco Conservatory by acclaimed guitarists Carle Costa and Ross Thompson.

Natalia has performed in masterclasses for notable players such as Stefan Hoskuldsson, Ransom Wilson, Anne Zentner, David Shostac and Valerie Coleman, and attended the Moulin d’Ande festival in France where she studied with Pierre-Yves Artaud. 

In addition to performance, Natalia loves teaching. Previous teaching positions include Adjunct at Bay Path University and Teaching Artist at The Green Street Center for Wesleyan University. She is currently on faculty at Cazadero Music Camp and a Teaching Artist for the Harmony Project in Los Angeles. 

Natalia holds a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Music Performance from UCLA where she graduated with honors and studied with Sheridon Stokes. She received her Master’s from the Hartt School where she was a student of Janet Arms.
